The election cycle this year will consist of the August 7^th Primary Election and the November 6^th General Election.  All elections will be held at the Swan Creek Township Hall. To qualify to vote you must be a citizen of the United States, reside in the township for 30 days prior to the election date and be 18 years of age by the day of the election. PICTURE ID is required to vote at the precinct and also to obtain an absent voter ballot. It is the responsibility of all residents, especially if you have never voted in Swan Creek Township, to make sure you are registered thirty (30) days before an election; that is by July 9^th and October 9^th, 2012. Applications for absent voter ballots will be available to qualified voters, but if you registered by mail or have never voted in Michigan you must vote in person or make a personal appearance to qualify for an absent voter ballot.
